Often students simply need help with understanding algebra, or to get through a tough history paper. I work across all subjects through elementary, middle, and high school. For higher math or other specialized subjects such as foreign language, I have several specialists who contract with me.
I generally work on a per-term basis with students who need either specific or general support in one or more academic areas, though I am happy to accomodate drop-in requests when possible. Candidates for basic subject tutoring often either come in with very specific recommendations—from an educational consultant or psychologist, for example—or generally present with no pedagogical obstacles beyond supervised time on task.
